We have sixty diverse artists from across the country who are a part of this one of it's kind art exhibition.

Here is a set of questions team Platform For Artists asked Tanzila about her everyday routine, her art interests and more.

Tell Us about yourself.

Hello, my name is Tanzila Bheda. I am from Porbandar, Gujarat. Born and brought up there. Left Porbandar to do my job in TCS 2 years ago. I have never studied art or learnt it somewhere, I really wanted to but end up studying BCA and got job instantly after my graduation. Within 6 months started working.

I belong to a Muslim middle-class family. I have been treated like a precious child, as I have two brothers and only girl child is me. But with that there comes responsibly of fulfilling others expectations. Growing up I always wanted to do much more than girls around me. But one thing is always constant ART. I do sketching, painting, a little idea about photography and any kind of art attracts me. It’s like a therapy for me since childhood. Want to pursue more in this as now I realize I am not someone, who can do a desk job. From past one year, I am also in to fitness. I was a chubby, 20-year-old girl weighting around 70 kg when I started. I have reduced around 20 kilos. That’s another achievement for me ! so , now basically , I have two things to do ,I do my art and do freelancing and I do follow a healthy lifestyle with sufficient amount of exercising daily. That’s pretty much it. you will get to know more in time :P

What are your art interests?

I am still a learner, so I learn different thing at times. But to paint on canvas or paper and sketching is basically constant. I do fine arts, watercolors, acrylic and sometime oil painting. i do find photography very much interesting and time to time I go for a walk to capture. What are your views about the current scenario of art in our country?

In our country, it’s not easy to survive for an artist. There must be great artist but it’s not easy to get in a market where you are called only artist and you survive on that. May be I am not there yet that’s why my thinking is this, but more or less this is true. People in our country do respect art but they are not ready to pay. May be our art industry should create more opportunity and may be because of that, artist will be able to see a good future. As honestly, my view is we do art for feeding our soul and all. Correct. BUT you need money for paying bills, for buying colors, for buying canvas and what not and those things are not so cheap. So yeah,in our country there should be more opportunity for artist.

What are you working on currently?

I am working on getting my anatomy knowledge on point. and second, to get things what I think on PAPER. To draw out loud on current scenarios. I do freelancing so, every time something different comes up but more or less Portraits. Third, Speed Painting. I have done it one the stage of PFA twice and in my corporate events a couple of time but still working on it.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

For Art, I don’t get my inspiration from anything. It’s something I purely enjoy. And it’s been a source of happy me since I learnt to hold a pencil. Still there are times when we feel low because of the support we don’t get, those times are when I watch movies on artist, or lookup to people around me ,on internet and read/ listen their stories , the struggle they did or work they put constantly. That surely inspires me to keep going.

Which kind of artists would you be interested to collaborate with?

I would really be interested in collaboration with a sculpture artist or an illustrator. I always find it so fascinating ,I mean to create a 3D thing where you have to take care of every angle and put in the details. One day surely.

What's the first thing you do when you wake up?

I quickly freshen up and go to gym early morning, when I don’t go to gym I do my artwork. Early morning and late nights are favorite times to work and workout.

Which is the most used app in your phone?

Which is the one song you can't get out of your head? Let it go – Frozen. and a lot of songs of A.R.Rehman which I listen a times and drooling into whole day and days.

You de-stress by?

Travelling, Music and workout (Obvious for de-stressing as it generates happy hormones in our body). I love travelling, to a new place, to heritage sites, to some small village, to something new. I take my camera I go somewhere, I sketch there, I paint (very rare). but when I can’t travelling or around night time, I just sit and watch movie, read stories (as I said earlier, that keeps me going) and then, work.
